Jackets open at home, win three of four

The Jackets opened the season at home with a weekend series against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday, Feb. 24. The No. 10 Jackets took two of three games from the Buckeyes, winning on Friday and Sunday, 12-4 and 13-4 respectively, but losing on Saturday 7-3.

Jackets drop two conference games

After two losses to N.C. State and Wake Forest, the Jackets suffered from two more losses this past week against Virginia Tech and Clemson, dropping to 2-11 in conference play and 9-18 overall. The losses put Georgia Tech at the bottom of the ACC, behind Boston College, who the Jackets beat earlier in the season for one of their two conference wins.After two losses to N.C. 2012 Baseball Preview

After starting 17 freshman throughout the 2011 season, the Tech baseball team returns to action with more experience under its belt. Despite the loss of a few veteran players, the Jackets have high expectations rolling into the season.
