Entertainment
The trailers for Skyline depicted humans being abducted into the sky by blue lights and spaceships. Based on these trailers, audiences can expect aliens, violence and plenty of high-end special effects. The actual movie provides very little else.

Calvin Harris Concert
Green and purple lasers sliced through the smoky air of the swarming Loft Atlanta on Nov. 5, setting the atmosphere for Calvin Harris’ energetic DJ set. Fans came prepared to dance until dawn at the Scottish singer/songwriter/DJ’s much anticipated high-energy show. Although Harris did not technically begin his set until the wee hours of Saturday morning, the crowd was more than warmed up by the time he began. This was thanks to the opening DJ who spun mixes of Phoenix, La Roux and other popular dance tracks.

Hornet’s Nest offers weak franchise finale
The final film based on Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy, more casually known as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, goes out with a whimper instead of a bang. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest picks up immediately where The Girl Who Played with Fire left off, transforming the taut, action-packed murder mystery into a conspiratorial courtroom drama that feels far less urgent and compelling than it ought to.

Dead excels as zombie horror
Even within the first few minutes, it is clear that nothing is sacred in AMC’s latest show The Walking Dead. The tone and expectations are set. There will be zombies, there will be blood, and this show will not hold back when it comes to showing any of it. Furthermore, the show is set in Atlanta and the eerie ruined backdrop of an all-too-familiar city makes the overall effect especially creepy for any Georgia native.
Saw 3D exhibits lackluster effects
Saw 3D is the seventh and final installment of the Saw franchise and is a fairly apt way to finish the series. Although it is not quite on par with other movies of the franchise, it’s still worth the watch.
Speak establishes Swift as talented songwriter
Taylor Swift’s third studio album Speak Now is a refreshing collection of songs that showcases her signature lyrical poise, youthful exuberance and confessional songwriting. It is the perfect follow up to 2009’s multiplatinum hit Fearless.
Speak Now is bursting with songs that touch on Swift’s standard themes of romance, heartbreak and regret, all delivered in her signature style of soft country rock infused with traces of twangy electric guitar, mandolin accents and fiddle. It is a formula that has worked wonderfully for her, why change it now?
