Tech’s men’s tennis team (3-0) remained unbeaten on the season by defeating the No. 71 University of North Florida Ospreys 4-2 on Saturday. Tech won the doubles point and three of the singles to clinch the match.
Casey Kay, playing in the five spot, cruised past North Florida’s Zachary Goldberg with a 6-3, 6-3 win. Rakitt, in the Jackets’ top singles spot, went down to the wire with a 6-4, 5-6 (10-12), 6-5 (7-4) win over the Ospreys’ Nortbert Nemscek to lock up the fourth point for Tech on the night.
