Technique: What has playing volleyball at Tech been like so far this season?

Ackermann: It’s been a pretty awesome experience just being able to play college volleyball in general. I like my coaches and my teammates so it’s just been a really great experience.

Technique: What made you decide to come to Tech?

Ackermann: Probably the coaching staff. Just how much love they had for the game and their ideas about volleyball were like mine.

Technique: Who is the funniest player on the team?

Ackermann: Wimberly Wilson, or as the team calls her, Weyonce.

Technique: What has been the most difficult part of college to get adjusted to?

Ackermann: Time management and trying to figure out when to study and when to enjoy life. With practice and school, you have to find a time for just you, and that doesn’t happen very often.

Technique: Do you enjoy playing other sports?

Ackermann: I like all sports, really. Obviously I don’t have time to play anything else, but I definitely like all sports.

Technique: What made you decide to start playing volleyball?

Ackermann: My sister and my cousins played, and I’ve been around it my whole life, so it was kind of like destined for me to play.

Technique: If you could see any musical artists live in concert, who would you want to see the most?

Ackermann: That’s hard, but probably Garth Brooks.

Technique: All-time favorite movie?

Ackermann: The Wedding Date.

Technique: Which matches are you most looking forward to this season?

Ackermann: Florida State and Miami. They’re both ranked pretty high in our conference so I’m excited to play them.

Technique: If there was one rule in volleyball you could change, what would it be?

Ackermann: You can only sub 15 people in volleyball, so it would be nice if you could sub more so you wouldn’t run out.

Technique: What are some of your hobbies outside of volleyball?

Ackermann: I like arts, music and painting. I don’t get to do it very much, but when I do, I really like to.

Technique: If you could hang out with any celebrity or famous person for the day, who would it be?

Ackermann: I’m not a big celebrity girl, but I guess Misty May since she plays volleyball.

Technique: What is your favorite class that you are currently taking?

Ackermann: Probably my Econ class with Professor Brian Hunt. It’s not necessarily the easiest class, but I find the class to be interesting.
