On Nov. 22 at 3:35 a.m. another armed robbery happened on the west edge of campus. According to a Georgia Tech Police report, a male and a female were walking on 8th St. near Williams St. when they were approached by two black males. The two men pulled out a handgun and demanded that the couple hand over their money. The couple responded that they had no money.
At that point the men shot the female victim in the stomach. She was transported to Grady Hospital for treatment. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution the male victim was not hurt, and the female has since been released from the hospital. Neither victim was a Tech student.
