On Oct. 11 at approximately 11:30 p.m. two more Tech students were robbed at gunpoint in Homepark. The students were walking on Ethel Street when a man exited the passenger side of a light-colored sedan. The man, who was described by one of the victims as a black male about 5 foot 8 inches tall wearing baggy clothes, was armed. He drew a handgun on the two students and demanded their belongings.
Both students turned over their belongings and no one was injured during the incident. The man then returned to the white or silver vehicle and left the scene, heading north towards 14th Street. This crime is the second armed robbery of Tech students in Homepark in two weeks. The crime is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department, who are soliciting information on the incident through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
