Rust-Murray named dean of libraries
Catherine Rust-Murray was named the new dean of Libraries at Tech. Rust-Murray will replace current dean Richard Meyer, who announced his resignation last December.
Rust-Murray brings 21 years of experience to her new role at Tech. Prior to being announced as the new dean of libraries, Rust-Murray served in the same role at Colorado State University.
In her presentation to Tech, Rust-Murray underlined her desire to create a library that serves the people using “digital planning” and “resource production.” She will officially begin Aug. 15.
Strong-arm robbery occurs on campus
A non-Tech affiliate called police on July 3 after being assaulted and robbed by two men. Although not injured, the affiliate was robbed on North Avenue. The two suspects were not found.
