Better than Ezra at Center Stage

Veteran rockers Better than Ezra will be performing at Center Stage this Friday, May 13. Having been in the business for over 20 years, they have countless hits including Good, Desperately Wanting, A Lifetime and Breathless, which Taylor Swift recently covered at the Hope for Haiti Now telethon. The key to their success is their ability to continually evolve, with their latest project Paper Empire bearing influences from bands such as MGMT and The Raconteurs. The Artful Garden Tour

If you are looking for something aesthetically beautiful to do this weekend, be sure to catch The Artful Garden Tour on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This self-guided tour features seven private gardens from all around Atlanta, including Buckhead, Ansley Park, Midtown and Druid Hills. This tour is unique from other garden tours in that there will be beautiful art displayed in the gardens. Local plein air painters and artists will also be on hand to paint and showcase their artwork. All proceeds will benefit the High Museum of Art. Atlanta Ballet Presents Ignition

Be sure to catch Atlanta Ballet’s season finale, Ignition: New Choreographic Voices, this weekend from May 13 – May 15. This performance will feature an extraordinary crew of young up-and-coming choreographers who will premiere three dynamic pieces created exclusively for Atlanta Ballet. Choreographer Bennyroyce Royan created Flux, which blends music with video and dance. Gina Patterson choreographed Quitly Walking, which features a soulful and original dance sequence. Home in 7 is choreographed by Amy Seiwert, and is inspired by our own Atlanta. These performances promise to bring a variety of movement, music, and diversity to the esteemed Alliance Stage.
