Flogging Molly headlines at the Tabernacle

Flogging Molly performed on February 13, 2010 at the Tabernacle for the Green 17 Tour leading to St. Patrick’s Day. They will be back March 4, 2010 for an encore for the Celtic hungry. A higher energy performance was expected, but with a slight disappointment of mild movements accompanied with a spectacular light show.

Flogging Molly is usually associated with rowdy crowds and drunken debauchery, but none was existent within the premise of this reconstructed church.

Flogging Molly is a seven-piece American Celtic punk rock band, which has been influenced by the likes of The Pogues, The Dubliners, and Johnny Cash. Their music usually resembles the Celtic “punk” sounds, which usually touch on subjects of Ireland, drinking, politics, love, death and also references of the Roman Catholic Church.

If you are looking for a visually appealing concert, and this music tailors to your ears, check them out during their encore this coming March.
