Great Escape gives away free comics
A day that falls on the first Saturday every May, Free Comic Book Day, will be hosted by Great Escape Comics and Games. This year it falls on May 2 and will be held at 1050 East Piedmont Road. A variety of comics from many different publishers will be available, and all attendees are guaranteed to receive a free comic!
Atlanta Film Festival returns
From April 16-25, enjoy films, food and parties at the Atlanta Film Festival. It will take place at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema located on Monroe Drive. 73rd Dogwood Fest provides free fun
Held at Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival features three free days of fun. It begins today at noon and ends at 9 p.m. tonight. Tomorrow the festival opens at 10 a.m. and also runs through 9 p.m. Sunday will cap off the weekend with a noon-7 p.m. day. Enjoy live music performances, art shows, the Dog Disc Exhibition and children’s activities including projects and games.
