Peterson accepts fee increases
Institute President G. P. “Bud” Peterson has accepted the recommendations of the Mandatory Student Fee Advisory Committee to raise the Transportation Fee by $5 and the Health Fee by $6. These proposed changes will next be voted on by the Board of Regents at their meeting later this spring.
Evans cleared of racketeering
The Ga. Attorney General’s office has cleared Chris Evans, a former Tech employee, of the racketeering charges it filed against him and two professors in Sept. 2010.
Evans was accused of misappropriating Institute funds. The case against the two professors is still ongoing.
ME increases elective hours
The School of Mechanical Engineering recently voted to increased the number of required free electives from 18 to 21 hours. The change will need to be approved by the Board of Regents.
