Tech hosts Olympic trials at Ferst
The Ferst Center for the Arts will be hosting the U.S. Olympic Team Trials May 16 and 17. The top thirty male and female lifters will be competing for four male spots and four female spots on the U.S. Weighlifting Team. The team will compete in the 2008 Olympics, which begin on Aug. 8 in Beijing, China. Team Georgia Weightlifiting will be organizing the event. The Chairman of Team Georgia is Dean Alford, a Tech Alumnus.
